Here is the information we have to report at 08:21, September 6, 2010
EXHIBITION GO PASSENGERS:
For the duration of the CNE (August 21-September 1), access to
Exhibition GO Station from the south side will be restricted to CNE and
concert ticket holders only. Other GO Passengers wishing to access the
station must do so from the north side of the station via Atlantic Ave.
We appreciate your patience during this annual event.
CLARKSON PASSENGERS:
As we continue with our enhancements to improve your station, on
Tuesday July 20 we begun construction on the platform serving track 3
at your station. All westbound trains will continue to use track 1 and all
eastbound service to Union Station will now use track 2. However, to
manage the volume of train traffic during the evening peak travel
period, the 16:36, 17:06, 17:43 and 18:11 eastbound train trips to
Union Station will use track 3 and will be required to stop at the west
end of platform 3. Due to this, door access to these 4 trains only, will
be restricted and only the doors on the 5 east end coaches, the first 5
coaches from the engine will be open for access.
Please exercise caution on the platform during this period of construction
and please listen for station announcements for your track information.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to make improvements to
your station.
WHITBY PASSENGERS:
The east end of the station platform has been closed off to facilitate
the construction of a new pedestrian bridge that will connect the
platforms to the south-east parking lot. During this period of
construction which is expected to last approximately 3 months,
train access will be restricted, and only the doors on the west end
coaches of the train starting from the accessibility coach, the 5th
coach from the locomotive, will be open for access. We appreciate
your patience as we continue to make improvements to your
station.
YORK MILLS BUS TERMINAL PASSENGERS:
The GO Bus Terminal at York Mills has been closed for renovations
effective Tuesday, August 3. During the renovation, a temporary bus
terminal has been opened at the northwest corner of Wilson Ave. and
Yonge St. This new location is staffed with an agent for ticket sales
and the layout of all bus platforms will remain unchanged.
Pedestrian access to this temporary location is available from the York
Mills subway station west end exit or by crossing the street at York Mills
and Yonge St. Construction is expected to continue until Fall 2010.
