30-minute service for most off-peak Lakeshore GO Train trips

On June 29, we are increasing the frequency of most off-peak Lakeshore GO Train service to every 30 minutes to meet the needs of our growing number of customers.

View the Lakeshore West schedule
View the Lakeshore East schedule

This significant increase of service is the result of years of careful planning and construction to expand service on this line.

Did you know...

  • Since 2006, we have been incrementally upgrading and improving the infrastructure along the Lakeshore lines for future 30-minute service. This includes purchasing rail corridor segments and upgrading the tracks on those lines.
  • In 2009, we installed a third track on the Lakeshore West line between Port Credit and Oakville, and in 2012, we installed an additional fourth track between Mimico and Kipling Ave. These track additions have given us extra flexibility to add more service and capacity.

The continued expansion of GO Train service is a top priority of Metrolinx’s Regional Transportation Plan, The Big Move.
