Niagara Falls Weekend GO Train schedule.

*Holiday service will operate on Victoria Day (Monday, May 24); Canada Day (Thursday, July 1); Civic holiday (Monday, August 2); and Labour Day (Monday, September 6).

Like other GO services, tickets and seats are available on a first come, first served basis. There are no seat reservations. Tickets will be sold at all GO stations, ticket agencies and on board GO Buses. Tickets for this service will not be sold at ticket vending machines. We recommend arriving early to buy your ticket to avoid line-ups.

Two ride tickets can be purchased in advance, at anytime. Group and day period passes can be purchased in advance for the following weekend/holiday only. Single ride, group and day pass tickets cannot be purchased in advance. 

Included in the Niagara GO Train fare this year is a premium of up to $3.00. This premium is in addition to the current GO Bus fares to and from Niagara Falls and St. Catharines, which can be found on GO's fare calculator. The fares below include the premium and apply to the Niagara Falls Weekend GO Train service only.

*Niagara region group and day period passes are available, allowing for overnight stays. These passes are sold at all GO stations and ticket agencies, and are only valid for weekend and holiday trips to/from Niagara Falls and St. Catharines VIA Rail stations. Group passes are for a maximum of five people travelling together. At least one, but not more than two members of the group must be aged 18 or over. Large groups should contact us for more information.

Taxis
In Niagara Falls, taxi stands are located at the station and across the street at the Niagara Falls Transit Terminal.

Walking
From the Niagara Falls VIA Rail station, it takes about 40 minutes to walk (along River Rd.) to Clifton Hill, near the Falls. 

A new feature this season is two designated bike coaches on each train. Two railcars will be available to provide storage on the lower levels of the cars. The railcars are clearly identified and each car can store 18 bikes. Each additional railcar can store four bikes. The designated bike railcars will be in the sixth and seventh train car position. Customers loading bikes onto the designated railcar should load their bike and proceed to the upper level of the car for seating. Please note that bicycles are not permitted in doorways blocking the washroom. These doorways will be identified with “no bike permitted” symbol. Also, bicycles will not be permitted on wheelchair-accessible train cars. There is a limited amount of space available on each train, and customers with bikes are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that the special bike coaches will only be available on the Niagara train service on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, but not on the new Friday service. Customers are asked to secure their bikes themselves.

If you are traveling by GO Bus to or from Niagara Falls, bike racks on the front of all GO Buses can accommodate two bicycles. Again, availability is on a first come, first served basis.

The travel time between Union Station and Niagara Falls will take about two hours and pass through many townships and over the Welland Canal.

While every effort will be made to get you there on time, customers may experience delays because of the single track shared by GO, freight, and VIA trains through this corridor, as well as the ships passing through the Welland Canal. We recommend that you bring a snack and a bottle of water while on board this train trip for your own comfort.

For safety reasons we remind passengers to please store your baggage underneath your seat and to not block passage ways or aisles.

For passengers travelling with strollers, we encourage you to board on passenger coaches three, four, or five so you can get off the train more easily in Niagara Falls. Also, new this year we will offer dedicated bike coaches, which are located in passenger coaches six and seven.
