Love on the GO Contest Winner
Congratulations to Tom K. from Whitby who is the winner of our Love
on the GO contest. His entry received the most votes winning him a
romantic weekend away for two at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel in
Niagara Falls.

Tom's entry:
Seventeen years ago, an attractive young lady sitting beside me remarked
how pretty the falling snow looked, as the GO train we were riding made
its way into downtown Toronto, early on a snowy December morning.
Addressing her comment, I mumbled something more or less
incomprehensible (which I probably thought was witty), to which she
mercifully chuckled. This tremulous beginning launched a love affair of
17 years and counting – which includes a marriage proposal on the GO by
means of a ring in a paper bag, nestled in right beside an oatmeal
raisin cookie; a wonderful home east of Toronto; two amazing children of
whom I couldn’t be prouder, and a wedding band inscribed with “Mr. GO
Train”. I’m very thankful that fate allowed our paths to cross, and that
GO Transit was there running a train along it! Thank you, GO Transit!
Thank you to everyone who entered!
