renovation projects that may be affecting your station or parking lot.
This information is as current as possible.
Agincourt GO Station
A portion of the south parking is closed for construction of the
new Sheppard LRT. Access to the station building, north lot and
remaining parking spaces in the south parking lot will be
maintained. For more information on this project, please contact the
TTC.
Ajax GO Station
Phase 1 of this project includes preparatory construction of a
new west tunnel and future elevator and stairwell enclosures.
COMPLETION: December 2011
Appleby GO Station
This project involves construction of elevators, mini-platforms,
tunnel and stair rehab, and platform improvements. Approximately, 25
parking spaces in the north lot will be used for construction
staging. Upon completion of this work, the north and south platforms
will be accessible. COMPLETION: September 2010
Brampton GO Station
The project includes the
construction of a new train platform south of the existing tracks, a
new west tunnel, and changes to the existing east tunnel, including
improved pedestrian access and the addition of an elevator.
COMPLETION: September 2010
Centennial GO Station
This project includes the construction of a new
parking structure northwest of the Centennial Community Centre. The
structure will add approximately 245 new parking spaces. During
construction, the kiss n' ride will be relocated and GO parking at
this station will be unavailable.
Attempts were made to replace parking spaces
that will be occupied during construction; however, those attempts
were unsuccessful. Overflow parking opportunities were investigated
east of McCowan Road and south of Bullock Drive. Alternatively,
during construction, customers are strongly encouraged to use
Milliken or Unionville stations while parking at Centennial station
is unavailable. COMPLETION: March 2011
Clarkson GO Station
South platform improvements have begun include an extension of
the centre tunnel to the south parking lot, installation of a new
staircase and elevator within the centre tunnel connecting the south
platform and parking lot, replacement of the east tunnel stair
enclosure to the south platform and installation of snowmelt system
along the platform. COMPLETION: fall 2011
Lincolnville GO Station
This project includes expanded parking that will add more than
400 spaces at the station. The expanded parking lot will be located
east of the existing lot next to Bethesda Road. COMPLETION: November
2010
Malton GO Station
This project includes a new south platform, west tunnel,
shelters, elevator and staircase from the east tunnel to the centre
platform. COMPLETION: late July 2010
Mount Pleasant GO Station
Access to the north platform from Pleasant Road
is restricted due to a municipal project. Municipal construction
requires the closure of the Creditview cul-de-sac north of the
station. During this closure, there will be no vehicle or pedestrian
access between Creditview Road and the north platform. Approximately
140 spaces in the east parking lot and the east parking access road
will also be closed to allow for the completion of the municipal
construction work. GO has recently added an additional 550 parking
spaces west of the bus loop and a pedestrian walkway. The municipal
work will continue to early 2011. GO COMPLETION: mid-September 2010
Oakville GO Station
This project includes the construction of a new north platform
and mainline track, as well as a new elevator, stairs, shelters and
mini-platform. COMPLETION: September 2010
Upon completion of the station improvements, parking will be
expanded.
Pickering GO Station
This project involves a new and improved station building and
modifications to the kiss 'n' ride. A covered walkway will connect
the west tunnel and bus loop to the new building. The west tunnel
escalators will be removed and replaced with stairs. COMPLETION:
spring 2011
Rouge Hill GO Station
This project includes the rehabilitation of the north parking
lot, which began in late June. The project will be a full
rehabilitation of the north lot and some minor upgrades to the
existing south parking lot. COMPLETION: fall 2010
Whitby GO Station
This project includes the construction of a new pedestrian bridge
connecting the rail platform to the south-east parking lot. A new
bridge will be installed over the south track, as well as elevators
and stairway enclosures. This work requires closing off the east end
of the platform from March 2010 to the fall of 2010 and will
restrict train access to the six west end cars only. COMPLETION:
winter 2010
